Privacy is a critical issue for any online activity. It matters to you and it matters to us. We appreciate the trust you show in using our website and any materials we may provide you and we want to honor that trust by protecting your privacy. We value our privacy and we value your privacy at Neighbor’s Trees and our parent company, Paumonok Innovations Inc. We will use this statement to spell out how we protect your privacy.

As you use our website, you will see that we provide links to other websites. Please understand that this Privacy Statement applies to Neighbor’s Trees and we cannot speak for any other website that you may visit based on a link from our site. Makes sense, right? We can only speak for ourselves.

Let’s talk about the personal information we a collected and how is that information used?

We collect information you, our user, in several ways:

  • Directly from the you (for example, if you purchase material from us or sign up for our newsletter)
  • From our web server logs
  • Through cookies and similar technologies.

We use the information to guide the ongoing development of the Neighbor’s Trees website, the material we provide and the services we offer. If we want to meet your needs, we need that information.

We do not want websites giving away our private information so we will not give away yours. We do not share, sell, rent, lease, giveaway or in any way let others use that information. We use it only for the development of our site and services. The only exception might be if we were required by law to share the information, but we do not see that happening. What law or law enforcement agency would be interested in information from a website about trees?

How do we protect your information?

We put in place standard data protections so that others cannot gain access to your information or to other information that we create and develop. We have safeguards to protect against unauthorized access or use and to guard against accidental loss. We store the information about you in a data center with restricted access and appropriate monitoring. We use intrusion detection and virus protection software.

All that said, you know that we cannot make any absolute guarantees.

Let’s talk about cookies (and we do not mean Oreos)

Like almost all commercial websites, we may use cookies, clear gifs (web beacons), ad tags and similar technologies to store and help track information about you. Cookies are simply small pieces of data that are sent to your browser from a web server and stored on your computer’s hard drive. Why? This approach allows us to learn about how people find our website and then use it. That information enables us to continually improve the site to make it better for you.

If you provide us information, can you update it or delete it?

If you sign up for a newsletter or provide registration information, you can cancel at any time, unsubscribe or change your preferences.

Do We Ever Use Third Party Services?

Yes, we sue some third party analytical services and some other services as well. For example, we use Google Analytics. We do so to improve our website and services to make it better for you. These third-party services may collect certain information about your visits to our site. For example, when you visit our site, your browser provides certain information such as your IP address and cookies. Third-party services like Google Analytics will collect that data but the data is anonymous and aggregated so there is no way to identify your specific actions.

To Our Friends in California, Here is Our Do Not Track Notice

If your browser provides a Do Not Track (DNT) request, then web services do not alter, change, or respond.

Once We Have Your Data, Who Has Access to Your Information?

As we told you earlier, we keep your data and do not sell, giveaway, share rent or lease mailing lists or other customer data to others. There could be exceptions:

  • If we are required by law in a matter of public safety or policy, but we cannot imagine when that would occur. After all, we have a site about trees.
  • If we transfer of our business assets wither because we are bought by another company or as part of bankruptcy proceedings, but let’s hope that never occurs.)

We will not disclose any information about your usage to unaffiliated third parties, except as necessary
